I have a 1 year old male lovebird. I love it but it dont love me. Sad Its name is Doktor (means Doctor in Turkish) I want it to play with me, but it always singing and it dont like when i get it in my hands.

In your opinion, should I buy a female mate for it? If I buy, it will be more happy but it will not love me anymore. Sad I am not sure.

Lovebirds are a social species so should be kept with at least another bird. It might make the original bird more happier as it could be getting depressed on it's own.

Keep persevering and handling it. Some animals enjoy human interactions and others don't - you can't make it love you, just give it a good life.
