What kind of presents did you give to other people (kids to seniors), or received that were enjoyed? I sometimes have a problem to find a present for people I do not know too well or who have everything in the pricerange I can afford.

I have problems selecting gifts too. Everybody seems to have everything or they don't have any idea what they want. My brother's the worst to buy for, though it's usually a computer game......one he's been wanting for ages, but that when he gets it, he'll probably trade it in several days later. Rolling eyes
If it's a woman, i'll often buy jewellery or perfume and some toiletries (not original, but it usually seems to go down well); if it's a bloke (other than my brother)......money is probably wisest, then they can get what they want 'cause i find many are near-impossible to buy for.

If it's a guy you can get away with giving money or gift-vouchers.

If it's a woman it depends on how well you know her.
If you know her well, I'd say perfume is a good option.
Perhaps added to that something of chocolate.
Chocolate and women are a good combination (my experience) Smile

If you don't know her well: well, that's a problem to which I haven't a good answer.

Last year i bought a girl friend this soft toy - a cat with a hoodie on - for her birthday. She loved it, from her texts in the middle of the night that day. And the best part is that toy only costs me around US$6!

It has been a while since I've had to buy for a child, but a gift certificate to a toy store is good. If it is for a person I don't know real well I will buy a bottle of wine and some candles or oil to burn. If it is for my husband, a wonderful dinner and dessert made up of the things he loves, let him watch hockey and I will leave the rest to your imagination!Laughing If it is for my best friend I usually buy her a book, I know her favorite author and she loves to read. Of course if the person you know has hobbies, you can always buy for that. For a women, you can't go wrong with flowers, and they don't have to be roses. Roses don't last very long, but carnations are beautiful, cheaper, and they last a lot longer.

Thanks for your advice. I see, coming up with presents is not easy for any of us Wink
That is why I was courious about presents that made you happy.
Why is it so much easier for a child than for an adult?

because children are able to enjoy every moment of life and don`t need special presents to be happy Eye-wink
I`m happy about any present if there is only one condition-surprise! Hate when they ask what i want to get! And also i prefer to do unexpected presents, if i have time-do it creative, handmade or painted, modeled!
One of the best and unexpected presents i had was handmade cat which my friend did for me-by unique technique of felting. Thumb up I bet it took not one night and needles left not one prick.

I try to give something special dedicated to the person as I know her, often made by hand, a poem, a story, a picture, photoes, a ppp, a letter. Sometimes I give a voucher for a visit at the zoo, a walk in the forest with me (there are people who like this).

Exactly, I think the best gift comes from something that has no monetary value, 'your time'. The best gift, with the most value. Gifts come and go, but memories last forever. Smile
