Well, you never can tell with people, you have to get to know them & with jobs, there are a lot of ppl who can talk a good one but not actually do a good one. But if they seen a pain in the butt from day 1 I think that the initial instinct, or rection is enough.

Whether you ar aware of it or not, fact is that you often react on "instincts" (not instincts in scientifical sense)

I'm going with FFy on this one,the cv can say what is written,me! i go on gut instinct,i look at him and decide at the end of the conversation..We are all human so for sure i have canned some good guys,maybe they weren't in the right mood that day,maybe i wasn't in the right mood that day,but this way or that way i love the guys i work with ,i know their wives names,their kids names,we're kind of like a family..

To a varying degree, we use instinct (or intuition) all the time, though I guess it can sometimes be confused with simple prejudice.

It is said human beings are complex. I say it's a complex challenge to be a human.

On one hand, I can look back and almost always see that the worst decisions I've made went totally against my gut instincts.
But first impressions?
They seem to involve a little more than instinct.
First impressions grab you with a whole other grab bag of stimuli and maybe with a little dash of prejudice thrown in.
It's just a fact that some people are great with the gift of gab...manipulation and closing the deal. And they may look quite pretty doing it.

i often go on gut instincts but i dont let them rule my life... i think u can make too rash decsions at times based on these

To me what is known as "gut instinct " is a reaction,plain and simple.It is predicated in terms of time available to make a descision..There is time? so you slowly and carefully think it through,this is not gut instinct,this is not an instant response,you may even sit with others and talk ..pros cons and make even a group descision..girls! ever gone out just the two of you ,you walk into a place and the guys look you over and you look them over...Hell ...what a nerd ,that one is a creep,that one is bad news,in short without even exchanging a word you have decided,based on his appearance and vibes...guys! you and your best buddy walk into a place sheesh they'r all DOGS!! Can this be correctly described as a gut feeling or a wild guess,or a reaction to perceptions??I believe ther to be a huge distinction between the high speed descision on first glance and gut feeling..when we look at a person for the first time its almost as though the descision is made FOR us..WE like,,,,don't like..But take a piece of real estate,a woman may look at it as their first family home.the real estate guy may see it as a quick profit..What i mean is that gut instinc shows out when we must make a critical descision in a zero timeframe..Was that descision based on previous learning and experience ? or what?? I sure as hell don't know..
