Vocal Equipment for Grindcore/deathmetal singing
I'm looking for stuff to make vocals for my bands singer sound deeper and more high pitched.
Can anyone advise some affordable goods?

Well, no he's quite sick by nature in the head. I've read there is equipment for it but we're not all so into that stuff so we dont know what to get.

This was very popular a few years ago when it came, cost a fortune then but I think its a bit cheaper now, you should be able to find a used one on ebay for around 3-400 euro
BUT, if you know some about synthesis the Clavia Micromodular is the shit for wrecking voices, Anthony Rother uses it as vocoder but it can do anything really and goes for coffee-money ~150 euro used, with this evil little bastard you can hook up a midikeyboard and pitch the voice with the tangents, now isnt that something?

Pfew.. sounds like good gear, but I think I need to find cheaper stuff since this isnt even our main band but a weird sideproject (its actually our dream to start a grindcore Big Band)
I've seen quite some beginning bands with crappy gear and 100 euro guitars but with some inhuman vocal sounds. There has to be something really cheap? That stuff is wild though, thanks slakker.

I'd rather spend 150 euro on a Micromodular, but alright, cheaper stuff it is..
Alesis ModFx Metavox, not manufactured anymore but I see themon ebay and such quite frequently for about 50 euro, I have some other gear from the ModFX series Im very pleased with, the Bitrman (now that unit is freakin weird, a classic already) and Philtre (perfect to put at end of chain), btw all ModFx units can be linked like a modular system
Paia vocoder, DIY kit for $175.95,not tthe best out there but ok for its price
MAM VF-11, while there check out other gear on the site, good source, ringmodulators are weird shit too, might do the trick for you and is a cheap and easy technology

Also, if you want a compressoras well stay out of Alesis 3630, theyre cheap but not very good without the black lion mod, go for DBX instead..
