Russian Food
Hi! Can you please give me some ideas about Russian foods??!! I want to "gear up" my stomach for it if I need to! Traditional dishes and non-traditional ones too! All are welcomed...also your favorite recipies!!
I love to cook so I will have fun trying to make them

Heres one for you,on a thursday evening take 2 generous hansful of chickpeas,the same of chickpeas.white beans,and the same of rice..Soak them in lots of water cause they ABSORB..Now friday afternoon you take 4 chicken legs cleaned spiced etc drain the beans etc ,add new water,peel a few spuds,cut rinse and bung in the pot,cook for an hour then keep on an incredibly low flame til saturday lunch and you will have a traditional russian meal..

Hmmm. I've never heard about this "traditional russian" meal before.

You can relax, there is no need for gearing up your stomach before coming to Russia
. We don't eat snakes or mice, at least most of us 
. There are dishes to any taste in Russian cuisine, but even if you prefer European food, there is no problem buying pizza or burger. But I still hope you will enjoy our traditional food.
