Proteins
Is anyone taking proteins? You know, like people use in addition to fitness. If so, then what are your experiences? I just get the feeling it isn't the most healthy thing to do...

Wang has given you fairly good advice but, protein is not passed normally through the kidneys. Protein in the urine is called proteinuria; it is an indicator of possible kidney (renal) damage.
Do not exceed 2 grams of total protein per kilogram of body weight.
Do not rely on the supplements for you daily needs. Outside of whey and egg source supplements, they lack a good amino acid balance.

i took protein in addition to my fitness programme, but to put on weight since i AM underweight. but i was just too busy with school and stopped taking it for a while. ever since i started never had any problem with anything. from health point of view (i am studying medicine), i see no problem taking protein supplement if you really need one provided that your organ functions are normal. fast digested protein or slow digested protein is what you have to decide. taking fast absorbed protein with no subsequent appropriate exercise will do no good as excess protein will go down the drain(in urine). to trap the protein into your muscle mass is tricky, a good trainer might have the solution to it. whatever it is, dont overdo, moderation is always the best policy
