Yes, I've watched nearly every episode over the last years.
I think it's one of the best programs on the BBC.

Some of these candidates are very entertaining (often without wanting to be).

There are some real nasties among them: Jenny (got fired this week), Claire (she scares me, what a bitch!), Michael (got a grilling this week, but survived) and Alex (too calculating for my taste). And Lee. Well, his reenactment of "the Nuremberg Trial" with Sara as the accused in one of the previous episodes is unforgivable. Makes you wonder how these people behaved in their previous jobs....

My favorites are:
- Raef (seems to be the only decent guy there, if perhaps a little eccentric).
- Sara (but she will need to stand up for herself much more)
- Lucinda (her lack of nastiness is one of her strong points, however she'll need to be more competitive too)

Claire is very scarey i agree ... she seems very calculating and wanting to act the tough bitch and she has a very big mouth.

Raef seems a nice guy, yea i agree a little eccentric..

sara - i felt sorry for her (was it last week) when they were all slating her? and she jus sat there and took it all - she does need to get tougher but maybe the quieter ones are the better ones that jus take it all aboard

Claire is a complete looney... Rafe is a bit snobbish.. i must admit i like alex...
It would be nice to see Lucinda or sara doing well as people tend to pick on them a bit
I think Michael will be the next to go though

Glad to see the back of Jenny though she was a bitch.. gives irish people a bad name Wink

maleDetroit-Escalat... | 22 May 2008 - 7:21pm

Bit of a shock to see Raef get fired last night and at the same time to see that backstabbing cry-baby Michael get another chance next week .... I love it Thumb up

i was surprised to see raef go... if he doesnt get rid of Michael soon.. aggggh hes doing my head in how can he call himself a man .. bloody crybaby !!

maleDetroit-Escalat... | 29 May 2008 - 6:29pm

Finally Michael got the boot! Drinking beer
You could see the energy was gone ...

Don't think Lucinda is going to make it to the final. Shaking head

I think the finalists will be Alex, Lee and Claire (what's happened to her?!). Confused

I really hope that Lee dont win. He has such a foul mouth and his such a big head.

I dont think Lucinder will win cos she is a little too nervous. She reminds me of a timid mouse.

I also hope that claire dont win cos she jus irritates me so much Laughing the way she looks at people with those eyebrows raised. She has such a big mouth but is learning to control it a little better

I agree.. I reckon it will be Alex, Claire and Lee too... I think Lucinda will go tonight. At this point i think it will have to be between Lee and Claire
Claire is playing things quietly at the moment but she is the one to watch out for.

maleDetroit-Escalat... | 5 June 2008 - 8:23pm

Seems we were right on Lucinda.
Have to say I was sorry to see her go. Crying
She was the last of the candidates I could have some sympathy for.

Alex, well, I've just about had it with him. I already found him too calculating, but now he has become a backstabber as well. When Lucinda talked to the other candidates (in the waiting area) of her doubts about wanting the job, he held that against her in the boardroom. The rest of them ganged up on her (again) and she got fired. Opportunistic behavior. Don't like it. Thumb down

Difficult to say who's going to win this time. I've been wrong in all the other series. But yes, I also think it'll be either Claire or Lee.

Would never want to work with any of them, though... Repuke

yea shame she is gone and i was disapointed with the way that Alex acted in the boardroom ... and dont he have such a look about him when he knows he got thru ... yuk

I think it will be Claire that wins unfortunetley ... think she has more balls than Lee Laughing but i dont like her

Yes, he (Alex) has that look on his face of the little boy who stole the last cookie from the jar and knows he got away with it. Haha!

In the clip they showed of the final they put the last four into teams of two.. Alex is with Helene and Claire is with Lee
According to this the loosing team will be fired leaving it between the two people on the winning team to fight it out in the boardroom for the job
I wonder if it goes down to Lee and Claire will the fact that Lee lied on his resume last week come back to haunt him

maleDetroit-Escalat... | 11 June 2008 - 4:59am

Yes, lying about his education wasn't a very smart thing to do.
If it ends in a close finish this might just make him lose....

Think I'll put my money on Claire anyway.
Not too much of it though.... Smile

I was glad to see Lee win.. Claire was so cocky last night she was so full of herself and dead sure that she was gonna win. Id say the reason why she didnt was that she would drive Sir Alan crazy with her carry on.
Lee was so shocked when he won but i must say he did overcome his nerves and get through the presentation which he was dreading. Well done Lee !!!

maleDetroit-Escalat... | 12 June 2008 - 1:39pm

I agree, the fact that Lee overcame his nerves for that presentation shows he's got character. But do I think he deserved to win? Hmmm, difficult to say... I thought Claire put in a strong performance too last night.

The team that lost - well, it wasn't much of a team, was it? This Helene character, in this series she's done her best to come across as a harsh version of the Ice Queen. That may have been the pressure, but I suspect that part of it is just the person she is. ... And och .... "poor" young snake-in-the-grass Alex cried afterwards because he didn't win... His opportunist behavior ultimately led him to the land of Nowhere....

Anyway, none of these four may have registered on my sympathy scale, but on the other hand I suspect that making big money in the business world hasn't got a lot to do with sympathy.

Which perhaps makes these people exactly right for that line of work.

And which makes me very glad I'm just a simple technician... Very happy
