Letting Somone Down!

This is such a hard thing to do, and I guess it is unavoidable for someone to be hurt. But I have an idea about this. I had relationships in the past( I won't tell you how far past) and I have learned that you shouldnt waste your time or theirs if you want to move on. Someone is bound to be hurt, but is far better to do it quick and move on? Any thoughts?

I agree or you will both be very unhappy.

I've been in the situation and I absolutely agree with you. It was still hard tho.

Letting someone down is inevitable. If the relationship is going nowhere or breaking apart, it is best to just end it right away to avoid further pain.

You are only the best person you can be to make yourself satisfied. You can only do so much, but when you start to feel used or infringed upon this is the time to stop. If people put expectations on you, this is their need, not yours. If they are disappointed you didn't meet their ideals, that's their problem.

You can't make everyone elses life perfect and sacrifice your own. What's the purpose of being?

yep better to get it over and done with than to string them along and give them false hope. It may hurt initially but in the long run is better for you both

You are better off doing it quick, so that to minimize pain as with time it will only get worse.

Absolutely. The sooner the better. The more it drags on, the more hurt can be caused. It's better to get it over with as quickly as possible, even though it can be painful.
