To what extent would you go to get a job? Some people will drive over an hour to get to work, others will endure a great amount of stress, what would you do?

Of course it depends in what kind of situation you're in. When you're married and your wife is working too, then you can be a little more picky. Of course I prefer as few stress as possible and It'd be cool when it's a 5 min walk to my office Razz

1 hour is ok, but not more than that:-)

Like Scholes said, it totally depends on the situation. Everybody wants a great job next door, but if you've been out of work for a while, you start to be less critical and accept things you normally wouldn't have. And after that you can always look for something better.

I won't endure a great deal of stress for any job unless it's my business. A 40 minute bus ride is my limit unless I have a job I absolutely adore.

My way to business is about 90 minutes alltogether (2 times a day), but I very often travel around Europe and do my work in hotels, at stations or airports, at home ... I like it, can't imagine a better job Smile

In Russia there is a project "Anti Traffic Jams", the main idea-change of jobs between people according places of residence. You public the place where you live and work and they find who can make a trade with you. Prospective result- the way to work doesn`t take more than 15 minutes.
Nice idea, but in fact doesn`t work. The best offices are situated in the centre of City. You can`t find the same job in your district.

Unfortunately the life of inhabitant of megapolis sometimes looks like:
9 hours - work
8 hours - sleep
5 hours - traffic jams
3 hours - transitions from one condition to another
(The some people call it LIFE)
