.....of your native country/being a member of that country?
Please also give a reason not only yes or no.

(Yes, I know, would be a good one for the country channel, but imagine what a riot it would have been, if I would have posted on EVERY country channel Wink so please don’t move the topic)

Yes, I am proud of Canada, we are blessed with so much, we have an abundance of many things, a health care system, not great, but better than not having one at all! We aren't starving like that of some nations, we have the freedom to choose our leaders, (not that it makes a difference Very happy ), we have the freedom to say pretty much what we want. There are so many reasons why I am proud of my country, but the flip side is that there are times when I am not so proud, as I am sure is the case with many.

Yer I'm certainly proud of the Netherlands. We're a small country but certainly not small in our actions. Although I am also a little embarrassed sometimes coz of our drugs laws and prostitution.

I'm from the UK and I am not proud to be British. The country is a shambles, the priorities are all wrong and it's embarrassing I think to be a Brit.

Crying Oh, no, now I am so disillusioned! I always thought Britian was great, my Dad was British, and I still have plans to visit there along with Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, in all probability next year. There must be something you like about being British!Confused

As a native South African I am proud of our stunning nature (a bit of everywhere in the world) and the friendly people as most really try to make things work.

Not proud of the lawlessness and criminals causing havoc - we really can do without that.

I'm ALSO proud to say I love Europe, especially Scotland with the most interesting, straight-forward and friendly people ever (apart from SA).

malefalling_fenix | 31 May 2008 - 6:52pm

As a resident of this country, there are things i am grateful for; a lot of things that people take for granted. There are bad things too, naturally, as with everyhwere. As for being proud.....no. It's just a place i live in. There are worse places to live, but i'm not proud to be British or whatever.

Sweden is such a beautiful country with a good cultural history, I love it for that.

Sweden is flooded by useless people, white trash, junkies, leftwingers, muslims and insanely high taxes due to a very costsome and uneffective wellfare-system, I hate it for that.
