wonders of the chemical MERCURY
theres a story i read on a weekly newspaper, about a magician in my country who can use mercury for rituals and break into banks for huge,huge,huge,sums of money. LISTEN HE SAID HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELVES WHY BANKS USE MERCURY TO SEAL THE INNER ROOMS IN WHICH MONEY IS KEPT. when the mercury is used the faries that want to break into the banks cannot be able,to,because of the MERCURY in the bank,but when the when the mercury is gotten together with other items for some rituals, then the fairy can now break into the bank with ease,but also he said mercury is a metal and you know that fairies are afraid of metals,but bcos mercury is solid but liquid in nature, thats why it confuses the fairies and until the mercury is got,for some rituals, it cant go into the bank.it can give you any amount of money you want anytime,but mercury is scarce in nature,where can we get some?

Agreed, Mercury is EXTREMELY deadly. You can't even buy a decent thermometer with it any longer here in the US.
The story the originator of this thread was told is rubbish and life threatening.

Fairies? I hope no one is stupid enough to believe that sort of rubbish. Sounds like a "magician" with neuropsychiatric symptoms of mercury poisoning to me.

in a chemistry class, the teacher brought some out in a beaker- with tongs lol, he drew a circle around it on the desk, and told us not to put our hands anywhere near the circle lol. It's crazy stuff, he dropped all sorts of heavy stuff in there, and it all floated liek it weighted nothing at all.

Ancient oriental scientists used to be so fascinated with the properties of Mercury that they used it as a medicine...including 'Longevity Potions'.
Unfortunately, even in these modern days, many traditional healers still use Mercury in their 'potions'. One of the close family friend passed away after taking a pill from a healer to treat his heart attack. It was later found out that the pill was made primarily of Mercury, which ultimately ended his life.
Time to time , we still see these cases going on. Not everyone everywhere's educated, sadly enough.

As far as mercury being "deadly". Uh, yeah...if you consume it or if you have skin contact with it constantly and repeatedly but it is NOT a deadly poison if you keep it out of your mouth. Trust me. I know from experience. Have held the stuff in my hand many times and played games with it when I was a kid....probably didn't even wash my hands afterward...and there is nothing wrong with me with me with me with me....uh, what was I saying?

Mercury is very poisonous. It's better if you stay away from it. If you spill Mercury it can be collected with towels soaked with vinegar. NEVER touch it!
