Live-in-Relationship better than marriage?
How many people agree that we should think twice before getting married and it's better to have a "Live-in-Relationship" so that the couple can get to know each other very well and this will avoid divorce or separation in the future?
Why do Indians insist of marriage between two absolute strangers who know nothing about each other or if they can get along after marriage?

I agree: we must think twice before getting married. However, I disagree with the other statements - they are extremes. Live-in relationship doesn't guarantee the couple would remain unseparated in the future. There are many examples of the opposite. On the other hand, arranged marriages are quite weird: marrying someone whom you have never even seen in your live? Simply accepting the choice of your parents (mama-boy?) without thinking of yourself and your future? I also know many divorced people from this category. Although many Indians are proud that they have less divorce rate in India that in the west - but it's just because poor wives have no place to go and no survival means if they choose to divorce.
