if you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where i was born, and what my well protected childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but like Kerouac I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.
feeling a total lack of surprise, missing the bus again, single serving ready meals, no more studies, listening to the planes screaming above, talking to my ex but not to god anymore, no calls for days without end, two cans of lager after work, excercising computergames, more square than hip, always making a backup plan, being jealous, watching features pass the moving train, no love lost, seeing the war on television, concerned (but powerless), saving up for holidays, cracking a joke to entertain myself, more fun (than a barrel of monkeys in the sun), at unease, anxious about affections, wrinkled shirts - no need to iron, never self-employed, need to sleep more, fitter happier, i wish, lungs clogged by smoke, more productive, a pig in a cage on antibiotics, waiting for the harvest moon and change of tides, listening to the same song twice, still cries at a good movie, being a better person, becoming a part of the machine like the blind, deaf and dumb boy, a good memory of irrelevant details, i have a little surprise for you, mahalo, d. |
