 Create your own visitor map! Hello, I'm Tessel, 20, from the Netherlands. I'm studying Archaeology in Amsterdam. Next year, I want to go to England to study. If you are from England, or you know someone, please contact me, for I'm very interested in how life is there! :) In case you want to know, these are the things I like (to do): * Music: I play cello, piano and guitar: cello in a folk band. I listen classic, early music, middle age/celtic, dutch songs (Drs. P, Jaap Fischer, Boudewijn de Groot...), folk music (Laïs) and some gothic and metal: Nightwish, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil... I also love to discover other styles, music is always interesting! So if you have something that you think I should know, please tell me! * Nature: I join the NJN (Nederlandse Jeugbond voor Natuurstudie); I like to study all sorts of nature, but especially plants and insects. I lead flora excursions. I used to have a lot of pets: two paraqueets, a poodle, a rabbit, walking sticks... But now I'm living on my own and there isn't much space. :( * Sports: I quit gymnastics, which I've done for 11 years, I did a half year of martial arts and now I'm very enthusiastically sword fighting with a medieval method. I also am busy with rowing and I like to cycle at my recumbant bicycle. * Languages: My English and Dutch is okay and I speak a little French, German and Latin too. And I'm slowly trying to learn some Spanish. I think it's great to write, talk and read in foreign languages! * "Art" etc.: I like to write stories, poems and letters and I like Lord of the Rings and (other) Fantasy, and Science Fiction books/movies/drawings etc... (Also Dune, Star Trek, Star Wars...) Art in forms like Jugenstil/Art Nouveau and Manga are also cool - lol but very different. I really like to draw, although I'm not very good at it. Oh, and now I forget I like to dance also (folkbal!!!) - must be forgetting a lot of different stuff also... ;) Note: My friends often tell me that I'm crazy or silly. I don't know what is so silly about me, but you are warned: BEWARE OF THIS SILLY CREATURE!!! If you don't like that. Hmmm... Maybe it was silly to say that in this profile. But that's how I am. :) After all, my friends can live with sillyness. I'm looking of course for friends around the net, so if you wish, you can always send me an email, PM, leave a message here or whatever. I'm always happy with one! The only warning I have for you is that I often find myself writing very long messages, so you know the risk you take! If I could be a plant...
I would bore myself to death because I would not be able to do the things I like. Even worse, I would become even more mad than I already am because of the continuing thinking in my head without being able to take action, something that already now is a problem for me...
If I could fly...
I would fly over mountains and sea to visit all the mailfriends that live somewhere far away at this world. |
