More About Me

Hi there. Firstly, I'm an American woman, living in Italy, and I'm mainly looking for friends living in Italy who would like to help me practice my Italian language skills. However!, sometimes I do make exceptions, especially if you're female and a good conversationalist.

Now more about me personally...I'm a passionate optimist, who loves life. I'm also a bit of an environmentalist, so I love nature. I enjoy all those things mentioned in the other part of my profile and pretty much anything indoors or outdoors that's fun or interesting. I especially love travelling and cultural outings to museums, theaters, concerts, etc. I like making new friends and hanging out with friends and/or family and I'm working on finding my own voice and style for writing and photography. I think writing and photography may be what I'd like to make a living from.

I'm spiritual, not religious. I'm relaxed and casual, but I also love to dress up and go out to fancy events. I love just hanging out casually with friends or family, or sometimes having deep discussions covering all viewpoints of a topic.

I'm interested in meeting all kinds of people. I have and like to make friends of all types. Male/female, gay/lesbian/bi/straight, single/married, attached/unattached, religious/spiritual/not religious, busy/relaxed,  sophisticated/casual, whatever. All that I ask is you be intelligent, thoughtful, communicative, and living in Italy. :)

Please, please, please don't invite me to be friends/buddies unless you have read my profile, and have your profile filled out, and you tell me why you want to be friends/buddies. You need to prove to me that there is a reason. Just inviting many people to be friends/buddies for the sake of seeing how many you can get, doesn't make sense to me. If I don't know anything about you or you haven't told me what it is you like so much about me, how can I know if I want to be buddies/friends? How can I make a decision? Thanks! :)

A good day starts with...

A good cup of coffee or tea out on my deck over looking the sea, a deep breath of fresh air, a smile and a silent thank you to the powers-that-be, that I am in Italy again. Smile Then I peek at my "To Do" list, and get started with my day. Practice my photography, work on some writing (songs, stories, fiction, non-fiction), work on my Italian language skills and studies, take a walk on the beach, go to the market, see where my spirit takes me. Some days might be spent alone just taking time out for me, and other days would be spent meeting with friends, and hanging out, or going somewhere.

If I won the lottery...

Assuming it was at least a few million dollars, I'd put 1
million in the bank for at least a year. The rest I would spend on,

  • I'd invest heavily in eco-friendly energy efficient resources and
    alternative energy resources.

  • A
wonderful home for my mother wherever she wanted to live.

  • A
large beautiful sail boat with really nice accommodations and one luxurious
captain's cabin decorated in Old World style for me, or me and a friend. Smile

  • Season tickets to the best theaters and concert halls.

  • Yearly donations to my favorite charities.

  • My dream home in Italy to have fun restoring and/or renovating.

  • I'd definitely travel even more. I love staying in inns in different
    countries and sight-seeing.

...but I'd always come home to Italy. Smile

If I had 3 wishes...

I'd wish for,

  • Peace on earth for all humans
    and animals.

  • I'd wish for happiness for
    all my friends and family.

  • I'd wish to win the lottery,
so I could buy and do all those nifty things mentioned
    earlier. Smile

What I love to do:

So many indoor & outdoor activities. Some are, snorkeling, reading, theater, museums, travel, sightseeing, writing, photography, concerts, sewing, fun with friends, poetry, singing (karaoke), playing music, listening to music, crafting, and more....
