More About Me

Here are some of my favorite things: Books: "The Lymond Chronicles," by Dorothy Dunnett, "Pride and Prejudice," by Jane Austen, "The Count of Monte Cristo," by Alexandre Dumas, Kim Harrison's "Witch," series, Karen Chance's "Dark," series. Currently reading "Traveling Between the Worlds," by Hillary S. Webb, "Partners in Power," by Jack Rinella, "Primal Heat," by Susan Sizemore. I have a whole stack of other books in my to-be-read pile, but much too much to list. Movies: "Transformers," "August Rush," "Elizabeth: The Golden Age," "Love Actually," "Bridget Jones Diary," "Pride and Prejudice," "The Last Samurai," "Twilight Samurai," "The Godfather," "The Promise," and "Lord of the Rings." I especially love period pieces. Favorite foods: Greek, Italian, Middle Eastern, and any kind of breakfast foods. Music: Includes everything from Classical Rock to opera. I like music from the 50's and 60's, as well as R & B music from that era, and the girls' groups from those years. I also enjoy music by Neil Diamond, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot and Simon and Garfunkel, and instrumental music, including Yanni, David Arkenstone, Diane Arkenstone and Hans Zimmer. Favorite groups include Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and ZZ Top, and one of my favorite singers is Meatloaf (he's great for singing in the car). Favorite musicals are "Man of La Mancha," "Guys and Dolls," and "Phantom of the Opera." Oh, did I mention Elvis? I have also recently developed a deep interest in baseball. I watched my first World Series last year, and finally got to listen to the opening game of the new season this morning, from Japan. I've been learning the ins and outs of the game, but it'll be good to watch an entire season, so I can put what I've learned to use.
A good day starts with...

A good cup of coffee, a good book, good company and the sun shining through the window :-)

What I love to do:

Read, listen to music, hang out with my family and friends
