**UPDATE - 10/23/2007**
What the Smeg?? Methinks a serious update is needed here. Even though I hardly come to this site, I'm sure there are my trolls out there who like to peruse my profile for a few jollies. I'm currently taking an intensive ESL teacher program which should be done by early December. I love me classmates, me faculty members, and the wonderful ESL learners who always get me out of my daily trance to say "Hi" to me in the hallway. Ooh, I have an older mentor who is very infatuated or very in love with me for the past 6 weeks. My soap opera has been unraveling in strange and mysterious ways...so Stay Tuned, folks! I have settled into my new abode but once in a while, I would bug my parents for a nice home cooked meal or some insanity. Most of all, I am single yet again. I'm not crying over it. I have a life to lead which includes many personal goals to accomplish before the end of the year. My ex didn't understand my ambition and he lacked ambition in life so...poof to him! About MOI, I'm a warm, easygoing, and a friendly gal. HOWEVER, I do not tolerate bashing people regardless of race, culture or sexual orientation. If you want to know what it's like to be a human being, read "Becoming Human" by Jean Vanier - an essential read. I love Americans and you can't pinpoint the evil of this world on them. Some of my relatives were born and raised in the USA. Does this mean that I hate my family?? I am a well-rounded and eclectic individual who is opinionated and open-minded in all things in life. I love writing and sharing my ideas to those who want to hear. If not, you can't censor me. If you want to track me down as if I'm Salman Rushdie and vent hatred, you really need to get a life. If you are an ultra-religious fanatic, beware of my poison words! I love sarcasm, satire, and witty remarks. I prefer people to judge me on my intellect. I value that more than my looks. "I rather have a runny nose than a runny brain". Note: a Blackadder quote. :) I'm a Canadian born-Chinese/Malaysian in background. In a way, I love my hockey and beer as well as Shanghai noodles and Nasi Goreng. Music is my life. I used to play drums and the viola. I plan to take up guitar before I leave this Earth. I'd listen to all genres except for new country. I prefer my music to have an edge to it. Speaking of Edge, I'm a huge U2 fan! Music is a huge passion of mine. I'll listen to anything but new country. Nowadays, my preference is indie music. I am into fitness/sport. I love running, hiking, soccer (football for the rest of the world), ball hockey, basketball, and badminton. I'm into spectator sport especially NHL hockey, some NFL, MLB, and of course, European Football. I have no allegiance to a team - I love a great match! I am in the field of Education which is challenging and rewarding at times. My preferred teachable subjects include English, French, Math, Science, Computers, and English as a Second Language from the Elementary to the High School level. I am also knowledgeable in History, Geography, Current Affairs, and Psychology. I am looking for sincere and long term worldwide penpals for friendship and cultural exchange. If you are not afraid to speak your mind and not write anything blatantly racist, sexist or homophobic, I'll be more than happy to correspond with you. I have a tonne of interests ranging from reading, writing, film, music, culinary arts, computers/technology, science, medical news, current affairs, travel, museums, art galleries, etc. |
