More About Me

Nothing really to say about me, ask if you want to know anything, I may reply. Just a nice story for now:

The Resolution

Until here and no further, the squirrel said to himself. He drew a line in the sand along the bank of the river and stood on one side of the line. For a long time already, he had wanted to make the resolution to draw such a line, and then never to pass it ever after. Then at least I know what I'm up to, he thought.
He was tired and sat down. The sun set slowly and peace and quiet reigned in the forest and above the river. Sometimes the scent of resin or heather drifted by. The squirrel rested his head on his hands and looked at the other side of the line. It seemed that everything was different over there, but he couldn't make out very well what exactly.
'Squirrel! Squirrel!' he heard somebody urgently call.
'Yes,' he called back. He recognized the voice of the cricket.
'Come over here,' the cricket called.
'Where are you?'
'Here.'
The squirrel looked around and saw something moving in the bushes.
'Ah,' he said. 'You are on the wrong side of the line. I cannot come to you.'
'Well, I'll eat it myself then,' the cricket said.
The squirrel stretched himself to see what the cricket meant and leaned with his upper-body far over the line, but he only saw the tip of the tail of the cricket. The smell however was familiar to him.
'Wait a moment!' he called. He looked around to see if anybody could see him and then quickly wiped out the line with his tail. Perhaps it isn't so good at all to know what you're up to, he thought.
'I'm coming' he called.
But when he came to the bushes the cricket said: 'What kept you? Now I've eaten it myself.'
'What?' asked the squirrel.
'Yes....er.....how do you call such a thing?....'
'A beechnut?'
'Yes! Indeed. How did you know that? A beechnut. Well, I ate it, but I won't say that it was nice.....'
The cricket shrugged his shoulders and the squirrel sank his head and walked slowly home in the twilight, never lifting his feet from the ground. He resolved never ever again to draw a line, or to make resolutions, or to want to know what he was up to. And if ever I say: 'Until here!' he thought, then I must immediately afterwards shake my head. Do you promise that? He nodded and made a resolution.

If I could be a plant...

I would be bored by doing nothing and annoyed by the insects sitting and climbing on me.
