| Leukemia really sucks. Thank goodness for the History Channel and the internet. I had been having back pain and fatigue for the past month. I thought little of it since I had been working out religiously and recently did a 6K run benefit that went through mud, a lake, hills, barb wire and other insane obstables. It wasn't until I saw a Dr for my pain that he took blood for analysis. The next day he called me and said to report to Internal Medicine at the hospital. After a quick interview with another Dr, I was surprised to learn that I was being admitted at that moment as a patient. For two weeks I was in and out of consiousness, transferred between the ICU and ward several times, so many needles/IVs in me, and two bone marrow biopsy. I wish it would end. The heart breaker was when the Dr came in and told me that I had cancer, it was Oct 7, 2006. |
