Update: I stopped working as Au Pair in April, live now on my own in England and work in a bar in Nottingham. But don't like it anymore, so I think I'll go back to Germany in July after doing a certificate here.
Hi there! My name's Kathy and I'm 20 yrs old and from Germany (currently living in West Bridgford/Nottingham). In the beginning of last year, I have been working in an office in America, on the beautiful hawaiian island Oahu for 3 months . I'm trilingual secretary and haven't found a job here in Germany. So I was going abroad. At Hawaii I loved at most to catch the big waves of the ocean with my surfboard or join the beach park, relaxing at Waikiki beach and go shopping. Here in Germany I like to hang out with my friends, go to a lake, to a party or a nightclub or just listen to nearly all kind of music. I like to do windsurfing, inline skating, running and do some other stuff with the kids I take care of (I'm the nanny for 11 kids 4-5 times a week) as well. I love to play soccer or basketball with them . I'm not that good in these sports, but I have a lot of fun. Furthermore I'm a movie buff. I love to go to the movie theater to watch especially scary movies. I also like movies to laugh about all the time and serious movies, like drama, thriller and so on. At home I always watch "Desperate Housewives", "CSI: Miami" , "Lost" and "True calling". I love these TV shows. But I don't like that much to be inside. Mostly I spend my time outside... like cleaning my car nearly every week :-) and meet friends, ride a horse, do iceskating and inline skating, biking and so on. I'm looking for friends all over the world to practice the languages I've studied (English for 8 yrs, French for 6 yrs, Spanish for 2 yrs and I took some lessons in Italian, but I got confused with Spanish, so I gave it up, unfortunately). But since a short time, I started studying Japanese as well, that it'll be easier for me to get a work visa in the US again.
