My name is Ingrid, I'm a 24-year-old girl from Vienna, the capital of Austria. No, I don't live in Australia, I live in this small little spot, called Austria, which is between Germany and Italy! :-) My hobbies are: writing and getting long letters, sports (swimming, skiing, Inline-Skating, diving, playing tennis), reading, going out, meeting my friends, going to the cinema, travelling, languages, collecting stamps and so on.
About my education: After 4 years of elementary school and 8 years of grammar school I graduated in June 2002. In autumn 2002 I started my studies at the Medical University of Vienna - medicine. I graduated from university in July this year and I will hopefully start to work within the next weeks. I really like: sunshine, coffee, my boyfriend (I really love him a lot, so don't annoy me with asking me, if I want to marry you!!), my friends, my family, my little nephew, shopping, the sea, beautiful beaches, being happy, foreign cultures, travelling,....! I speak German, English, Italian and Spanish fluently. I've also been studying Latin for 6 years at grammar school but who speaks Latin in this world, except of the Vatican?? I know basics in Dutch, Swedish and French. Travelling is one of my biggest passions. So far I've already been to 31 different countries, mostly in Europe but also in Asia, Africa, Northern and Central America. I also try to do parts of my studies abroad. So I've already done internships in Germany, Italy and Mexico. I'm member of an organisation called AMSA. It's a non-political organisation for medical students, which offers internships and projects in foreign countries. I really like to work there, you get to know many people from all over the world. We also have international meetings and I attend the last one this August in Ocho Rios/Jamaica. Another thing I really can't live without is music: REM, U2, Travis, Evanescence, Tiziano Ferro, Robbie Williams, Ricky Martin, Wir sind Helden, Christina Stürmer, Silbermond, Juli, Blue, Coldplay, GreenDay, Ligabue, Juanes, Aventura and many more. I have one sister. Her name is Angelika and she's 29 years old. She lives with her fiance and her 2,5-year-old son. My nephew is called Anton and he is extremely cute. I removed the picture of him and me from this site because everybody was asking me: "Is this your baby?" About this page: I really like to get to know new people, from all over the world but also from Austria. We can write into our guestbooks, PM's, e-mails or snail-mail letters. For me, everything is okay. I just prefer snail mails, as the are more personal than everything else. You can always right to me and I'll try to write back as soon as possible.
