Every profile that you read sounds the same- if everyone wants the same thing, why is it so hard to find? Well, the way I see it there's two possible answers to this question:
1.) What we're looking for just isn't out there.
2.) We're being too picky or we're not willing to take a chance on what we see right in front of us.
Since I'm a firm believer in happy endings & a hopeless romantic, the first answer is totally unacceptable to me so the correct answer must be the second choice (eliminate the impossible & what's left, no matter how improbable, is the truth). Maybe it's just time to take a chance.
So, I'll start. I believe in getting in the car (with the top down, of course- I'm a ragtop man) & heading out for the day with no particular destination in mind. I find humor in everything & always try to find the positive in every situation. I'm the kind of guy who would rather surprise you with a rose, a poem & a home-cooked dinner than jewelry or perfume (although those aren't out of the question either... they just mean more when they come at the right moments.). I derive a great happiness from surprising you with gifts & notes that'll brighten your day & make you smile. I love animals, nights out (dinner, movie, comedy club, bowling, miniature golf, the zoo) as well as quiet nights at home with a good movie & a great companion.
OK- now... what I'm looking for. I'm looking for someone to laugh with & have great conversation with. Someone to travel with & smile with. I'm looking for a best friend that I know I can always say anything to & who feels that they can always tell me anything as well. I want to be your last thought of the day- you know the one... right before you fall asleep & want to pick up the phone just to say good night.
A couple of final thoughts- I like to keep my finger on the pulse of the world- I love to read, watch TV & keep up-to-date on current events, worldwide. I'm an outgoing individual happy with what life has handed him so far.I find that I'm still a kid at heart; I love animals with a passion (don’t get the wrong idea here),
I'm not conceited or self-centered but always succeed in everything that I do. I am a gentleman & a true romantic with a well-hidden wild side; I'm old-fashioned in that I still hold the door open for my lady and love holding hands (who doesn't?). I'm a pretty middle-of-the road guy & may not always agree with what you have to say or believe but I will passionately defend your right to say it & believe it. Some of the life lessons that I've learned so far: anything that doesn't kill you makes you stronger (or just really hurts a lot); everyone has something of value to offer... there's a positive side to everything... the only great regrets in life are the roads not taken.
So, don't prove my theory wrong- take a chance... we only get to ride this ride once & we should always make sure that it's an E-ticket ride.

The odd thing about this form of communication is that you're more likely to talk about nothing than something. But I just want to say that all this nothing has meant more to me than so many somethings.
