How many of you think that you are REALLY free? If so then why do you think you are free? After all you always have to follow rules no matter what, so how can you be free if you have to follow rules, and cant even say what you think? How can you be free if you dont even have the right to talk to people without it being looked over (as for in America most chats are saved and checked through since you might be a "terrorist"). Today is the Independence Day of Brazil. On this day in 1822 Dom Pedro II declared the independence of his country from Portugal, since then the country has proudly celebrated the day with much fanfare and excitement. Thousands gather to proudly celebrate Brazilian Independence Day every year. A country of mythic proportions, people gather in the streets, celebrating with banners, balloons and streamers. A young Brazilian woman carries the national flag -- the symbol of the greatest democracy and presently most successful and largest country in all of South America. Students take part in the parade held in the morning, flying the Brazilian flag with great dignity. The carnival lasts all day and people of all ages take part. When you are having a bad day or week, do you buy or get yourself something to give yourself a 'pick me up?' For me it's flowers. Had a really rough week and now my house looks like a funeral parlor.
