Traveling in Bosnia, Croatia ,Slovenia etc

If luck stays with me, I'll be driving in Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia in a week or two...

A few questions I hope someone answers:

- what kind of money should I bring? US Dollar / EURO / What is easy to exchange and where do I do it? In the bank? By card at a gas/ petrol station? Where??

- is it easy to find gas stations ...f inst in Albania?

Okay, to all you good people of Hrvatska, most people have heard of the big cultural rivalry between these two major Croatian cities, Zagreb and Split. I'd love to learn more about what exactly this is all about. I can imagine it to be rather similar to a north-south divide that we have here in England. Does it run deeper than that? Is it a friendly rivalry? If you live in or near either of these cities please tell me what you think of them.

Zdravo to my friends in Croatia!

I am hoping to visit the Croatian city of Varaždin this September. It will be a day trip from Zagreb.

Can anyone tell me how frequent the coaches are between these two cities? Are they quite regular throughout the day? I would hate to be travelling in Croatia and not pay a visit to this city for a day.

Any information will be appreciated.
