Went to Exeter this morning, its a city around 45 miles away from me.
The train ride was ok, a few delays because of various engineering works and the like; got into Exeter on time which I was very surprised about especially considering I had bought a cheap day return ticket at short notice (£7 return!)
The shops were sparsely stocked and had nothing to catch my eye, ehich was a shame 
I am going into my own town tomorrow, which is right on my doorstep - bet you I find what I was looking for!
Lesson learnt? don't take what you have on your doorstep for granted!
